PLUMBING AND VENEERS
Incorporating common objects like tables and chairs, sometimes juxtaposed with building elements that are usually found beneath the visible surface, such as pipes, electrical wiring and communication technology, these charcoal and pastel drawings, ranging in size from 8 ft. x 10 ft. to 18 in. x 24 in., portray seemingly impossible little 'worlds' in which the viewer's perspective is forced to change within the same picture plane. The inside/outside and upward/downward, skewed dynamics of the images suggest the complex and often contradictory circumstances in each of our lives and how much of them we reveal to the public.
